(My favorite OI can, and actually the first nice can put into my collection, a Peter Doelger Patents Pending early OI can.  Three of these cans were originally purchased by an acquaintance at an estate sale for 50 cents each)!  I was happy to give her 100X her investment!

Also known as INSTRUCTIONAL or OI cans, these cans feature directions (usually both graphically and textually) on how to open beer cans.  Remember, beer in cans was a brand new product back in 1935!  Most breweries dropped the OI portion of their can designs by the early 1940's, but some brewers did keep them there well into the 1950's.
